HOW DID WE MAKE IT HAPPEN?
Just like Meccano, painstakingly we de-rigged the wheel and packed it into open top containers and 1 x 45ft road trailer. With our European partner, we secured customs clearance under Carnet and the witness loading of the equipment onto an express RoRo vessel service to set sail across the Med and down the Suez to its temporary home to be re-built to its former glory in record time to showcase at the Jeddah F1 Season 2022.
Two weeks to catch our breath and ready to do it all again but in reverse. Again with our global team were we able to re-export from the Kingdom and re-import back into Europe without having to pay any duty or taxes, now that’s what we call one hell of a ride.
The ferris wheel was not the only fanfare attraction at F1, we also arranged road border customs clearance across the Middle East for the overland trucking of bumper car and waltzer rides in special step frame road-rigs, very scary to see one of these in your rear view mirror.
